Garter Ridge Shawl Pattern

Another pattern, you say? For you? Anytime!
I call this the Garter Ridge Shawl Pattern and it is very similar to the Stockinette Shawl Pattern other than the garter ridges at the bottom of the shawl. As you can see, I don't wear my shawls the traditional way, I prefer to wear them with the point in the front. This seems to be the fashion now a days and I quite like it. Well, on with the show!

  2. All the increase rows are supposed to be on the right side or front of the shawl. When you repeat the ridge section, it starts out on the right side or front of the shawl, which means the next increase row ends up on the wrong side or back side of the Shawl. To remedy this, in between the first three rows of the ridge pattern and the repeat, I added a right side row with an increase. Then the repeat starts on the wrong side as called for. I’m not sure how that affects all the other repeats but all increase rows should be done on the right side. At least that’s the way I see it.
